For our epicureans

Staying at Flower Camping de l’Olivigne is also a superb opportunity to discover the flavours of our region. Our Cote du Midi is full of talented craftsmen with incredible expertise. As well as our excellent wines under the various regional appellations (in Bize-Minervois, we have 4 AOC appellations: Minervois, Saint-Chinian, Saint-Jean-de-Minervois and Coteaux du Languedoc), we’re also in the heart of magnificent olive groves where, hidden away in the very heart of our charming village, is France’s largest production of table olives, with the AOC “Lucques du Languedoc” label. A tasty wonder to be savoured without limit. And that’s not all: in our Occitanie region, there are sublime truffle fields, goat farms in the heart of the high garrigues, snail farms on the Canal du Midi plain, spice plants (saffron, rosemary, thyme, etc.), Mediterranean ponds teeming with shellfish, and so on. In short, there’s a lot more to the Pays Cathare than the excellent Cassoulet from Carcassonne (or Castelnaudary, so as not to make anyone jealous…) accompanied by an AOC Cabardès.

Since our creation in 2020, the DNA of Flower Camping de l’Olivigne has been to relentlessly promote all the talented craftsmen and farmers who surround us. We are a campsite that lives with its region, and we want to spread the word. To do this, we’ve created two areas: a human meeting place in the “Halle du Minervois”, with its original roof structure, and an indoor area where the craftsmen offer their products at local prices, i.e. at the production price with no extra margin. All this so that you can enjoy good, healthy, local produce at a fair price! This project has been supported by European FEADER funds and by the Grand Narbonne.
In short, we want to be a lively campsite that promotes its region! That’s why this article and booklet, available in PDF format, will help you discover the good addresses in the vicinity of the campsite, in our village of Bize-Minervois, as well as finding out more about the type of services we offer at the campsite.

Gourmet markets and fresh produce

As you can see, conviviality is the watchword at Flower Camping Olivigne! We also organise gourmet markets on Saturday evenings in high season. You’ll find local craftspeople, a wine grower and a delicious Mediterranean mussel brasucade cooked by Céline and Gil, the campsite owners. Also, once or twice a week, you’ll find one or other of the market-gardeners under the covered market in season to supply you with fresh fruit and vegetables.

Our foodtrucks

At Flower Camping de l’Olivigne, it’s the restaurants that come to you! Between 2 and 5 times a week (depending on the season), we welcome a foodtruck to the campsite. It sets up in the “Halle du Minervois” to offer you its products. From cuttlefish rouille à la Sétoise, Paëlla, goat’s cheese burger to pizza with regional vegetables… There’s something for everyone! You can then sit down under the covered market to share a convivial moment with the other campers or go and eat it quietly on your terrace or pitch.

Our catering service

For more refined cuisine, and by reservation only (for groups, for example), we can organise a catering service with one of our village restaurateurs. He’ll be able to put all the regional and seasonal produce to good use! Via our campsite, you can book your menu and have it delivered directly to your mobile home or pitch. It’s a great advantage, because you’re right there, at home, on holiday, so there’s no excuse not to sample our fine Minervois wines without having to worry about getting back in the car!

Our delicatessen and wine cellar

For a successful aperitif, don’t hesitate to drop by reception to discover our delicatessen. We offer the very best to our campers so that they can discover our beautiful Occitan region in a different way: carefully selected local wine, olives and tapenade, preserves of all kinds, spreads, charcuterie, cheese, aperitif cakes, jams, biscuits and much more! All these products are carefully selected for their quality, short supply chain, respect for the environment and, as often as possible, organic. And they’re all available at producer prices!
Are you a wine lover like us? Then welcome to the Languedoc, the largest expanse of vineyards in the world! We work directly with a good dozen estates. From the fruitiest and lightest to the spiciest and longest: there’s something for every palate and every budget! What’s more, since 2020, we’ve been offering you our campsite wine, classified as a PGI and with high environmental value. The “Olifil” red wine and the “Coup de Foudre” rosé were created in collaboration with the excellent and renowned Domaine Pierre Fil, a 7-generation family estate in the charming neighbouring village of Mailhac.

Our convenience store

An emergency dry grocery is also available at reception, offering you the essentials in organic products (pasta, cereals, toilet paper, bottled water, beer, hygiene products, etc.).
Once again, Aline and Junior, our village PROXY grocers, are in charge of supplying our convenience store, so that we can also promote our local traders!
We also have a fridge stocked with cold drinks (and fresh food at the height of the season) and a freezer stocked with sorbets and home-made ice creams from La Belle Aude.

Breakfast service

For breakfast, you can order fresh bread and pastries every day, to be collected from reception at 8.30am!
We only work with artisan bakers. We only offer fresh, local products from artisans whose production process we are sure of. In short, nothing frozen!

Our restaurants in Bize-Minervois

Outside the campsite and only a short walk away, you’ll find yourself in the centre of our beautiful village of Bize-Minervois. Here you’ll find our four quality restaurants: the Café du Midi with its medieval setting, the Chez Jean-Marc restaurant where French cuisine blends with that of Asia and the Bar de la Promenade, where conviviality is the order of the day and, at the entrance to the village, the Grange with its idyllic setting. A few minutes away (by bike or car), still in Bize-Minervois (in the hamlet of Cabezac), are three other restaurants: L’auberge de la Selette specialising in mature meats, the Château de Cabezac where an all-inclusive bistronomic menu awaits you and the bar-restaurant de Cabezac with its warm atmosphere on Wednesday and Friday evenings serving our friend Robert’s famous oysters. In short, if you stay in the village, you’re sure to find something to suit your taste and budget.
